    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

Everytime this topic gets posted, I've said the same name. No time to change that now:

    Chevis Jackson

Dude showed some me some really good things at various points throughout last season.

I guess it could be many (I hope) but I think Amp is going to do some special
    things this year.

JaMarcus Russell. He needs to step up for the team, and himself. I am betting his talent comes through, coaching from Jimbo, solid O-line, running backs and great talent at receiver that also needs to prove itself.

I think JaMarcus can surprise us to the upside. I'm getting this good feeling about the season, after the rocky one we had last year.

Whats great about this season is that you can mention pretty much any starter, offense or defense, and give a valid reasoning why he will be the surprise player.

My pick: I think Xavier Carter is in for a huge season

a lot of these don't seem like "surprises" to me. i'll go with a freshman-francois. defensive ends can pretty easily have a big impact early if theyre real athletic. a bit less to learn-especially if theyre not expected to drop back in pass coverage.

feel the same way... this kid is smart and has to be one of the fastest kids in college football.

i happen to forget about him at times due to our depth at wr and given his injuries but i remember a couple years ago at the recruiting bash (as ive probably restated this 1000 times) and his highlights were second to none.

i mean, of course, all are impressive since its their best footage yet his stood out like a man amongst boys moreso than the others.

last year (2 yrs?) glenn dorsey's showed he was a beast amongst toddlers and that was 5-A opposition.

doucet is beyond comprehension or explanation.

but back on topic, I surely hopes amp gets back to being his original self. he will be a great one if so especially with something to prove.

    Offense - Early Doucet
    Defense - Claude Wroten

I don't see any of the WR's being a suprise impact player unless someone goes down with an injury. Doucet makes some sense, but Amp and XC are buried pretty low on the depth chart (and I think every WR has been mentioned except Craig Davis, who was our most consistent WR this year). I'd go with Brett Helms on offense, since we've been hearing so much about him and both Chevis Jackson and Ken Hollis on defense, both are going to shine this year with more playing time.

Nobody has said what I think is going to be the truth:

    TE David Jones.
