Whats with every single player wearing knee braces, is that just to protect from the new turf before the game?

Saban smiling? If I was an OU fan/coach/football player I'd be very concerned.

Its a long shot so its hard to tell. He is not smiling in the other two pictures.

Wearing knee braces is something Saban has had many players doing since he arrived and yes it is to protect them from injury.
