Stunting of JJ's development

I've noticed that, not only does every play come in from the sidelines (which is fine), but JJ looks over there for basically what to do in every game situation. For example, the last play before the half, they should've planned ahead of time to hurry to the LOS and throw a hail mary if they didn't pick up the first. By the time JJ looked to the sideline to figure out what to do, there wasn't enough time to do anything. How will he ever learn how to manage a game if every decision, except where to throw the ball, is made for him? You thoughts?

I agree, I hate that looking over to the sideline at the line of scrimmage for every play.

I think its a trust thing.

I think they should trust him and let him play.

Also I think they have misread him as a quarterback.

I said it in chat and I'll say it here. JJ is a passing QB that they are forcing to be a running QB.

Sure he can run, but he is better at passing IMO.

I agree... they seem to do it less tonight.

Yep. Even knucklehead Danielson sees that. The option plays just need to be scraped.

It has all to do with what happened with Lee last year.

The coaching staff feels they could not afford to throw JJ to the wolves this year and have him make so many mistakes and cost us games and ruin his psychie like we did with Lee.

I understand it, but I don't like it.

We played not to lose after he threw the interception today and it nearly cost us. Ironically, Jefferson bailed us out on that 88 yard drive. He was nails.

Next week gets a lot tougher on this offense. Florida is light years ahead defensively over what Georgia brought today.
