    I have a better question... what is a sooner? Why choose a buckeye?
  6. According to my Dad, Sooners are people that went into Oklahoma before the date the government set as the day to enter the state and claim land, and claimed their land.

    They did it SOONER.

    At least that's what Dad said when I asked him.
