1. I am curious. What do SPARQ ratings indicate? How should they be interpreted?
  2. I started following these sparq ratings several months ago after I read that many coaches are now using the results in their recruiting. I think they are designed to measure overall ability in whatever specific sport the camps are designed for. I haven't noticed yet if high or low sparq ratings has resulted in how many offers a player gets but since its relatively new that could change over time. I think sparq training was originally designed to give players an idea on what areas they needed to work on with their athletic training. Its kind of taken on a new direction though with ratings becoming a part of player evaluation.
  3. It gives you a pretty good idea on how athletic a player is. Now whether that athleticism turns into football talent is another story.

A player from Alabama set the all time record a few months ago. BJ Scott from Vigor, who Miles visited last week, also had one of the highest ratings this year.
  4. Thanks. I would assume the higher the score the better.
  5. FYI, SPARQ is actually an acronym standing for the athletic qualities it is supposed to measure: Strength, Power, Agility, Reaction, Quickness.
