Looks like someone is desperate for votes

not really, years ago as governor of Florida, he signed an executive order to have it removed from the statehouse. Hes been way ahead of this.

He's not desperate. He's a centrist, more than a true con. I think the far right wing of the party will do what they can to destroy him. He may pick up votes from the centrist left.

I think he is far from a centrist, if a true centrist actually exists. I don't think he is a moderate either. But he is a center-leaning Republican and more akin to the pre-NeoCon, pre-Tea Bagger traditional Republicans of his fathers era than the rest of the pack. Which might indicate that he is a bit brighter than his brother, which is good for him.

Any Republican that expects to win the general election must not repeat the mistake of going so far right to win Iowa that they cannot center themselves enough to swing the moderates in the general elections. McCain was considered to be a pragmatic, moderate republican . . . a "maverick" even . . . until he made that hard right turn in 2008 to get the nomination. He lost the moderates even before he chose Palin and lost the pragmatists across the board.

I think we are saying the same thing....I just applied a very broad, and lazy, definition. Dubya didn't suffer from a lack of intelligence. He and his brother are just fundamentally different from one another on big issues. But I still think the cons will go after Jeb like no other.
