All i can think about now, is LSU going from Elite to Mediocre. l know we won 10 games and were "in" the SEC Championship Game after all the adversity, but does anyone see this team finishing any different but for Katrina?
From the first game to the last game of the season, i saw no real progression.
Arizona St. - i chalked it up to a good Pac 10 team

dis: ) and having to go on the road after a disaster...
Tennessee - the realization that our players and coaches weren't on the same page.
Middle Games: We played well got my hopes back up
Auburn - torn in this game, they are a great team, we both made mistakes and we won
Alabama - We beat an offensiveless Bama, without any real authority, but i started feeling better
Arkansas - The wheels started coming off again. Bad play calling, bad performance and we squeeked it again.
Georgia - Proved that luck can only last so long. They outcoached us, out played us and made us look like Ole Miss.
l think the failure of the players to execute and the lack of fundamentals falls on the coaches as much as the players. They didn't seem prepared in any game that wasn't cupcake.
l don't hate Miles or Jimbo or Pellini, i just think they are overrated and got taught by a great offensive coach. Miles is not a student of the game, Jimbo is average as a coordinator and Pellini is a good coach.
Flame away, but i would have loved for LSU to go after Mike Stoops at Arizona, he has improved by leaps and bounds there with almost nothing.
But as it stands now, we have Miles/Jimbo/Pellini and they aren't going anywhere... just please tell me im overreacting and they just had a rough first season together...
The only reason i gave this team an overall C for the season is because we had luck on our side. Next year we are going to need more then luck... i want to see a great fundamental team... hitting and wrapping, crisp routes, smart QB play, clock management, halftime adjustments, and i want to see us develop into a great team. l can take losses, what i can't take is looking bad.
