WHen you think about the two losses lsu has suffered this year, take a look at some of last years team records... Miami finished with 2 loses.. they lost a close one to Tenn. and got blown out by V-Tech. Florida State lost 3... one to an overrated clemson team... Texas.. oh wonderful (sarcasm) texas.. lost 3... blown out by Okla. and lost in a bowl game to a bad wazzu. We all know about auburn's woes last year, finishing 7-5... Georgia lost 3.. twice to LSU.. 2 of those loses were close.. the SECCG was not... but lsu was rolling... Remember.. even the top programs lose. LSU has a top program. And like many top programs we are having a "young year"... had the georgia and auburn games been scheduled for november, LSU might well have gone undefeated.. but thats not how fate (and the sec schedule makers) dealt the cards... GEAUX LSU
locoguano, you're right. I've seen many posts by LSU fans on the boards about how they knew we lose a few but thought that we woulds never again get drummed under Saban. Well, I did a little checking and guess what every great coach that has ever been has had games very similar to what happened to LSU this past Saturday. Everyone of them, the Miami head coaches, Bowden, Spurrier, Carroll, Bryant, Paterno, Hayes, Carr, Brown, Stoops, Dye, Dooley, Jordon, Neyland, Fulmer, Holtz, Rockne, Yost, etc........ And like SabanFan said on another thread the sun will shine again. I just hope that all of the Tigah smack talkers, one in particular learn some kind of lesson about "On any Given Day".
Great Post, Loco It's hard to take right now, but the only thing this team needs is a big win over a quality opponent. Hey, I just looked at the schedule, and it says here we play Florida this weekend. The Gators are a quality team. Maybe we can just go knock the snot out of those guys. OK, let's do it.:thumb: GEAUX TIGAHS!!!!
Totally agree the schedule was not kind to LSU this year, not for the inexperience that we had coming into this season. I still say the season is salvaged if we win out from here on in.
