1. Not necessarily.

The wizards are getting better with their potions....
  2. Let me explain it to you like you live in a cave. Cal State averaged barely 1/2 a homerun per game. Understand now? They are the definition of a small ball team. 40 homeruns on the season as a TEAM before tonights game. That's it 40. And the've playe more than 50 games so far. So don't make an arguement about needing power hitters, and bring up a team that excells at MANUFACTURING runs. My 4 year old son understands this concept better thhan you seem to.
  3. Maybe a side by side comparison of the top 8 HR guys on each team will help.

    LSU / Cal State
    Stewart 23 / Tripp 9
    Wise 11 / McArthur 6
    Harris 6 / Pill 5
    Mayer 6 / Davis 5
    Hollander 5 / Turner 4
    Liuzza 3 / Dorn 4
    Waguespack 3 / Clark 4
    Sprowl 1 / Cooper 1

Which line-up appears to have more power top to bottom?
  4. Now some small ball stats

    LSU team BA .287
    Cal State BA .311

    LSU 69 sacrifices
    Cal State 87 sacrifices

    LSU 40 SB
    Cal State 88 SB

    LSU 342 Runs scored
    Cal State 404 Runs scored

    LSU watching CWS on TV
    Cal State PLAYING IN CWS

    Any other questions?
  5. uhhhhh hello............... Cal State lost....... get the picture?
  6. how about clemson or nc
  7. Uhhhhh helllooooo.....

Cal State Fullerton has a 48-13 record and is in the CWS. Get the picture? :dis:
  8. Clemson .306 avg
    UNC .323 avg

    Clemson 479 runs
    UNC 492 runs

    Clemson 72 sacrifices
    UNC 77 sacrifices

    Clemson 103 sb
    UNC 90 sb

Both teams beat LSU by a noticeable margin in every SMALL BALL category. That is why their fans are in Omaha and we're sitting at home in front of our computers!

  9. At the time you were running your mouth, the game was still going on and was tied. And stayed tied for a couple of hours afterwards. Losing a 13 inning game in the CWS is better than missisng the regionals though. As far as the long ball goes, the 2 teams COMBINED for 4 HR's. That's it 2 each. Not exactly an uncommon feat. Nothing to brag about. GET THE PICTURE?
  10. And that was a helluva game!
