This is the fisrt one I have seen with Arkansas going to the Sugar and LSU still being picked to the Rose over Florida. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/stewart_mandel/11/27/bowl.projections.1127/index.html
Florida wouldn't go to the Rose if they lost, they would go to the Orange. Which would send us to Orlando. However, I don't feel that would happen. No way they'd want a Florida team that lost that late in the season. LSU to Rose baby!
The Rose Bowl picks before the Orange Bowl so a more likely scenario would be LSU keeping Florida out.
Just PLEASE for Orlandotiger just have it in Florida somewhere...Is there a poll for that?
Don't count out Florida altogether for the Rose. I don't think it will happen, either, but they would be a consideration, albeit a small one. But yes they are definitely a problem with us getting the Orange to select us. No doubt.
With us sitting at #5, a Florida loss would put them behind us reguardless. And if Florida gets destroyed, then they drop even further. In that scenerio, we would then be 4th in every poll (AP, Coaches, BCS) and I just don't understand how it's even possible for LSU to be considered ANYTHING BUT BCS-bound?! Imagine what the BCS would look like THEN, if they pass up a team ranked 4th in their own standings, to take 3 other at-large teams all ranked lower?!?!?
I didn't do one just for the Orange, just because the Rose is first at picking us, and more people were concerned if we going to get a chance to go there. If I had to take a shot of LSU's chances at landing in the Orange, I would say: 55 percent chance we go to the Rose 45 percent chance Notre Dame is picked (based on both USC winning vs losing) 50 percent chance Florida wins over Arkansas 22.5 percent chance Florida and LSU will both be in the running for the Orange 22.5 percent chance LSU will be chosen with Florida going to the Sugar 50 percent chance Orange selects LSU in a choice over Florida 22.5 + 11.25 = 33.75 chance LSU plays in the Orange Bowl. So basically a 1 in 3 chance. Excuse me while I recharge my batteries.
