Is he still on the team? I thought I read where he had been suspended -- is this still related to what happened at the end of last season?

Yes, he is still on the team. He is just suspended for the first three games this year.

And Saban said it was an NCAA ruling, not his. Hopefully Shy will be good to go when we meet UGA and give them a surprise or 2, gawd knows he should be roaring to get on the field by then.

Yeah, it was dumb of him to try to sell his tickets. He knew he couldn't do that. I hate that he's suspended, but we have RB covered. It'll mainly suck to not have him on kick returns especially with Green not 100%, but I'm sure we'll be fine.

Saban could have easily suspended him just 2 games, against lesser opponents. But he did what he thought was the RIGHT thing and suspended for 3, which means he misses the all important Auburn game.

Saban is more than just a great coach.

I don't think Saban had a choice ... the NCAA assesed this 4 game suspension starting with the Sugar Bowl.
