Let me first say that I've been gone all day and came here and saw these posts, I'm not a gloom and doom the sky is falling type. Just trying to figure out what the press conference was all about and trying to figure out just whats going on , timeline and all. Why are people acting like he's already gone?
well it seems there may be some correllation. when Butch Davis was fired he made a public statement he was interested in the LSU job (and UF only I think) then said he was gonna sit out for a year. This was brought up before the sky had recently fallen. Who knows if it has merit but its rather odd, Im not sure i've ever seen, an NFL coach/gm fired then announce his desire for a specific college job when there coach is still in place. I brought this up 2 weeks ago because of it. Add to that, Saban throwing Davis' name around a bit while interviewing for an NFL dream job and the sky seems closer to one's head when one looks up.
I do believe Nick will go one day, I do believe LSU is a stepping stone since his stock seems to rise but it may be this year or 5 years from now. We did go through the same thing last year too! :grin: Should be nothing new.
