Do you think the Vols are still bitter about the SECCG in 2001 when we knocked them out of the NC game? I bet it still digs in their skin like an Alabama tick. Give me a call and tell me what you think 310 826 3030 :thumb:

I think the Vols want to get revenge on us. I know they had the best recruiting class this year. LM has a tuff schedule for his firs year as coach. Appellation State or not.

You got that right. When I drove up to the Va T game a few years ago, guess what state pulled us over and gave us a ticket for going 10mph over the limit? TN. The driver of our car had on a purple and gold wig on and we had lsu flags flappin in the breeze. That TN cop was steaming. But I don’t think it’s going to be a ez game.

I see the Vols losing two games in September.

Tennessee may have been the worst 10-3 team in the history of college football in 2004. South Carolina should have buried them in the 1st half; the refs saved them against Florida and Ole Miss; Bama, UK, and Vandy played them toe-to-toe; UGa's season was made the week before, came out flat, and still nearly beat them. The stars lined up for UT last year. They went to Dallas and beat a$m (whoop-te-f'in'-do, so did Baylor) and suddenly... TOP FIVE! Talk about the emperor's new clothes.

Gainesville and Tigertown back-to-back ain't nothin' nice. UGa, Knoxville or not, is going to very tough. Toss in a trip to South Bend and Fat Phil's looking 7-4. Tennessee is not physical enough to hang. Their defense will be pushed around by the bigger teams; same goes for their offensive line. The SEC is a speed AND strength league. They have the skill positions filled, but I do not think that will make up for being slapped around up front. Heck, they have to visit Tuscaloosa, too. KABOOM. UT's 6-5. Hmm... Shreveport or Nashville, tough call for post-season.

UGA has won 2 straight at Knoxville including a blowout in the 2nd half against UT with their senior QB in 2003
