What's to be proven? Well by whipping some Bulldog ass, LSU can hoist the SEC championship trophy. Bama already had their chance, and went down in flames.

 

Sounds great if football had a playoff. So I don't understand your point.

 

That being said if the best teams in the sec played for the seccg it would eliminate a Bama LSU rematch in the NCG and everyone would stop bitching about a rematch in the title game.

 

So you want the SEC to have a playoff to determine the champion? The point is the SEC, and other conferences, have the best and only way to determine the league champion - one division winner plays the other. You can't scrap it just because Alabama is better than Georgia. They had their shot at the SECCG on Nov 4th and lost.

In 2001, LSU was the 3rd best team in the SEC but beat #2 Tennessee in the SECCG and knocked them out of the NCG. I guess they should have had a rematch with Florida while the Tigers stayed home.

 

Don't be so sure. GIven how far ahead in the BCS Bama and LSU are, if they played in the conference championship, and the game was close, they would stay 1 and 2.

 

Don't tell him teams surely don't have to win their division to play in it. :lol:

It wouldn't solve anything. Let's say we played them again and won by 3. Bama would still be the second best team in the country. They would just have the misfortune of having to play the #1 team twice.

 

Not with 2 L's they would drop. Think about it.
