Check out this article from SI. LSU#1 FLA #2 Tenn#3 Bama#4 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/sioncampus/12/15/sec.rankings/index.html
Goodness, I could see it now if LSU and Florida were in each other's shoes, how much members on here would blast this list. So I'll say it. That's bullcrap you don't have Florida #1 with a basketball championship in hand, and a crystal trophy in football just one great game away. Sorry, but that's the reality.
I agree with that, but you gotta look at all the major sports. LSU's got the volleyball, and women's bball by far. LSU isn't all that far behind in bball and football with top 5 finishes in both last season. BUT if UF wins the Fiesta Bowl, they should no doubt be #1.
Had Florida lost to UCLA, I would say yeah LSU is #1 overall. But you get mucho points for winning a championship. And last I checked they are the only one of the 2 to have a chance at winning a football championship. To do that in the same year, I don't care what your other programs are doing. You're #1.
So which SEC school actually won the SEC All-Sports trophy in 2005? Georgia And which coach has the best winning percentage in the SEC? http://www.georgiadogs.com/ViewArti...04&DB_OEM_ID=8800&ATCLID=324102&Q_SEASON=2006
Congrats! That gymnastics program is bringing in loads of money! (Ask Auburn about their money-makin swimming team.)
