This search committee has embarrased LSU and its fan base. First we let it look like Bobby Petrino is our leading candidate and then before we name a coach he pulls his name out of consideration for the job to stay at Louisville. Louisville not exactly a football school. And no matter how much LSU says he was not their choice it just looks like sour grapes that he didn't choose LSU over Louisville. Then the search committee allows it to become public knowledge that they interviewed RC Slocum and Bobby Williams. A requirement for an interview should be at least not getting fired from your last college gig. And now instead of taking some time an interviewing some top NFL assistants we jump on an unimaginative coach from a 7-5 team like Oklahoma State - got blown out in the Alamo Bowl by Ohio State (that plays close game with BYE week), choked a 35-7 lead to the Texas by allowing 49 unanswered points, and lost to Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl last year.
