Scenario: LSU enters the Auburn game undefeated.
Auburn is undefeated or has two or fewer losses.
UT has one or fewer losses and plays Bama the same day.
Bama has three or fewer losses.

Who plays the CBS 2:30 game and who plays the night game on ESPN?

I know that all you LSU fans prefer the night game, but would Bertman be able to swing it if LSU-Auburn has more national implications that UT-Bama?

Tennessee-Alabama would probably have to be a real bad matchup for CBS not to pick that one up. Aside from how good both teams are supposed to be this season, there is also all that bad blood between those schools. I can't imagine CBS not wanting in on that action.

CBS chooses.. they have the first option as per their contract with the SEC. Their contract also says that they do not have to chose until 10 days before the game. So if, at 10 days til the game, it looks like LSU/AUburn would be the better game, then cbs would take it. However, UT has a bigger market share than LSU, and Auburn/Alabama is push, so they may take UT on the merit of drawing a bigger tv audience.

Which is fine and dandy to all LSU fans except those without expanded cable and can't attend the game ;))

I agree with you on this one, I think that would be a huge national draw and the papers will be having a field day with Fulmer going into the State of Alabama for the first time since all of the lawsuits started.

This may be old news, but I heard the TN game with us is a 2:30 kick off. That sucks if that is the case.

No one knows that yet. But it probably will be, you need to get off the day game/night game thing. Being the SEC game of the week is much more important, it means the program is where we all want it to be.
