Curious Terry. Since Div 1A and Div 1AA weren't created until 1978, have 10+ wins seasons increased since then as a result of more 1AA opponents do you think, or the increase in number of games played?

Sewanee was once a formidable foe back in the day. Sewanee holds a winning record against several SEC teams (will not embarrass anyone here)

One of my favorite stories is about the 1899 Sewanee Purple who had one of the most amazing seasons I have ever read about.

This team was nicknamed the Ironmen. This name was given to them because they played a roadtrip of 5 different teams in 6 days. The 2,500 mile road trip began in Austin, Texas where they defeated the Longhorns 12 to 0. The next day they played Texas A&M and beat them 10 to 0. The next day they defeated Tulane 23 to 0. And the next day they defeated LSU 34 to 0. After a one day rest, they beat Ole Miss 12 to 0.

The Purple went 12-0 that season, and outscored their opponents 322 to 10. The only team that scored points against them was the Coach Heisman led Auburn Tiger team.

    Sorry to hijack the thread.

Back to the original question. If Curry, DuBose, Shula, etc. can accomplish it...just what should our expectations be? The recruiting ability of the staff should not be questioned, right?

I can't believe Florida St. with 18 ten win seasons since 1977 isnt on that list.

Who did the math on this one?
    Nebraska has 14 10 win seasons (63.64%)
Auburn has half as many (same 63.64%)?
LSU has fewest 10 win seasons, but 2nd highest percentage?
Bama is 3rd on the list, but the lowest pecentage?

Edit: Nevermind, an Aubie posted it. That explains everything.:hihi:
