I am getting tired of all the Saban references on this board. He is gone and wont be back. He was our greatest coach for a few years.

I feel like I am at an Bama board with all the posts talking about him non-stop. Bear Bryant is Dead Bama and we make fun of them for talking about him as if he was still here with us.

Lets not be the hotbed for jokes all other SEC fans.
I say we ban anymore talk about our beloved old ball coach.:cuss:

    LOL, thats funny!

    Umm,NO!
The main reason is some don't seem to remember some games in which he was
here and we had some of the same problems with him as the coach.
    His last year for example.
We could move the football but it took a last minute effort to beat Troy State
    and Oregon Beavers.
This is why I'm not bashing the coaches and giving them every opportunity
to fix the problems we are having.
How quickly we have forgotten his last year.

You know how that goes man. 'What have you done for me lately'. It's not fair of course, but it is what it is. Just look at Joe Torre with the Yankees. The man won 4 WS titles, 3 of them in a row and he's about to be fired. In any other sport or any other baseball team for that matter, that accomplishment would earn you a free pass for life.

As soon as Miles wins a few SEC titles and a National Championship people will stop the Saban references.
As soon as Miles wins some games he is NOT supposed to win (Like beating OU in a the BCS National Championship, or beating #2 ranked UT in the SEC title game) He will always be in his shadow, and he should.

Fact is Saban built something did he lose some sure. Did have some close calls sure. But did he win the big games. I think the record speaks for itself.

I just can't get over the fact that there are some flamers that are calling for Miles' head--most of them were doing so before he even coached his first game here.

I'll admit, I didn't know much about Miles--even after his hiring. And I'm pretty sure that not everyone knew everything about saban when he first came here. But I'll be damned if I'm going to tuck tail and run the other way, or irrationally call for his firing just half-way through his 2nd season. I'm a firm believer in giving him the same amount of time that we gave every single one of our former coaches.

After last year's 11-win season, there were the: "But Saban would have won a minimum of 12 games with that talent" ...but those idiots forget that Saban only won 9 games with the MAJORITY of the SAME players that won us the National title the year prior.

The blame game crap that fills this board after a loss is ridiculous. It's stupid. It's irrational at best. It's getting old. Teams lose games--even those that have superior talent.

Winning a National title was both the best thing for us as fans, and it's also proven to be one of the worst things.

It's one of the best for obvious reasons...but it's becoming one of the worst because as a whole, we, the fans, can't seem to get our head's out of our a$$e$; can't get our heads out of the past, and are becoming one of the most irrational and dissatisfied group of fans in all of college football.

I'd like to slap a few on this board. :dis: And I say "slap", because they aren't worthy of a closed-fist punch reserved only for real men.

Its amazing if you DONT like Miles as a coach you are a "Flamer" etc etc.

I dont like Les Miles I didnt like the hire, I dont like his "I am everyones friend" coaching style, I dont like his press conferences, I dont like the fact he appears lost all the time. I dont like the fact he calls timeouts between quarters, I dont like running hester up the middle when you are down 16 with 15 minutes left. I dont like seeing Matt Flynn play an entire second half only to see Perriloux hand the ball off twice. I could go on.
He is a very nice guy, and appears to love being a Tiger, but we are talking X-Os here motivators, leaders. He is not.

Sure teams lose, that is a given, I dont expect LSU to win every game, the question is HOW they compete..., Saban lost usually 3 games a year. but the Big games Saban won
(SEC titles, National Championships, Bowl games except IOWA that was a hail mary, and a coach who mailed it in)
Miles has beaten really bad teams, a few decent teams and lost to good teams. Miami.. Pfft. Louisville pounded them. Got us hammered by Uga, scored a whopping 7 against and auburn D that got torched by a High School Offensive Coord, Got us embarrased on Nation TV against UF. Do I remind you of the Tenn game last year ???

The man knows more about football then I will ever know. But fact is I have a right to my opinion that Les Miles is not a great football coach, he blows HUGE leads both at LSU and OK State..

So "Slap" me if you want, but fact is I cheer for LSU will do no matter who the coach is, but I think Miles will get us to 6-5 before you can say "Independence Bowl"

You are right he is halfway through his second season, the BIG difference is we are seeing a Decline, with Saban we began to see a program start to go up. Sure when you win big is the only way to go down, of course. BUT this team seems to get more and more confused and poorly coached with each big game. With Saban the program began to learn how to win, with Less Smiles I see a team who is getting used to losing the big game, if you DONT think that team mailed it in yesterday I got some real estate I need to sell you. That is the big difference.

Start beating top 10 teams (Like Saban did) then apply your mouth firmly on his jock as you have apparently done...

And Saban didn't get his arse handed to him by UGA???

So Auburn and Florida were weak last year because we beat them, but considered something else when we lose to them? You're a joke. You discredit everyone we beat under Miles just to support your own hissy fit "pouting bash".

Well, go cry me a river if you're so inclined. You've got your head buried so far up Saban's butt you can taste what the man had for breakfast.
