You have hit on why this entire situation is so problematic. The original investigation was Russia interfering with the election. Not collusion. Mueller is not starting with Russia. He is starting with Trump and collusion with the pretense that Trump is guilty of something. This should tell everyone that this is completely illegitimate and conspiratorial. The never Trumpers want him gone at any cost. He will continue to have the judicial investigatorial proctoscope firmly planted in his rectum for the next 3.5 years.
