Once he visits UM, and feels what cold really is, it'll be a school closer to home...UT already **** in there sleve, by take the Pro-Style QB. I personally think Russell Shepard is going to be a Spread Offense Monster...at this stage, He has a better arm that Terrell Pryor.

Shepard just sounds like Pat White all over again which makes UM a natural fit for him, assuming they aren't getting Pryor. Just like White, it seems like many schools would prefer Shepard at WR or DB, but he really wants to play QB.

One thing is for sure, Pryor dictates whether Shepard goes to UM or not.

    agreed.

but what I don't understand is why these guys even want to go to Michigan.

Sure, Rich has a system perfectly laid out to succeed.

But how many NFL teams run what they run?? NONE.

These athletic QBs should try to be in systems that show to pro teams that they're "different" than the traditional athlete QB, not go into a system that shows pro-teams they're "system guys."

Or alternatively play a position in college that they can play in the NFL.

Another thing that could dictate where he goes is that his girlfriend is a Fr. at LSU and one of his best friends & teammate is Hansan Limpscomb who's believed to be a strong LSU lean.

Maybe I am missing something, but his stats as a quarterback are dismal. In his junior year he only completed 45% of his passes, and in his sophomore year he completed a miserable 41% of his passes. Not the kind of consistency you expect from a top QB. His rushing stats are a lot better, with him rushing for 1,525 yards last year and 18 TDs, and 1,336 yards and 20 TDs the year before. He is listed as an Athlete, and unless he shows some dramatic improvement this year I strongly suspect he will be recruited either as a wide receiver or a running back. His 5 star status MUST be based on his skills as a runner.
