He has been a weightroom warrior this year and is up to 290... word is that he will be moving inside for next year... I'd like to see someone with that kind of size stay at DE and have another Marcus Spears...

I would have to see something official with that new weight. He was like 240 not too long ago. He should stay at DE if he kept his speed. That says alot about Moffit's strength and conditioning program if that is true. RJF maybe a Jevon Kearse like freak. :geauxtige

If he kept his speed I would love to have a 280 plus DE. I do think that he would be a good inside player, but we need him at end b/c we have a lot of depth at the DT position.

Well, if he still didn't "bulk" himself out of his old speed and quickness, he could be one HELL of a defensive tackle!

Oh...and just so you know, you can NEVER have "another Marcus Spears". ;)
(but I know what you mean!) :thumb:

RJF not even close to Kearse's speed. I don't think many people who comment on his blazing speed have seen him play. His main strength is...strength. He is a grown ass man strength wise. He has good reaction speed and quick moves..but he is not a speed rusher. He gets around the corner on people because he pushes them off with ease and they can't knock him off his path because he's so strong.

Might I add I think he's an All American candidate at DT, he is so damned strong he just cannot be stood up consistently. Place him next to a guy like Wroten or Williams...or in the future Woods..and look the F out.

I don't think he wants to move inside though, we'll see how it turns out, but DT is his best position imo.

Kirston Pittman WAS redshirted. He had ankle surgery (I'm assuming it was something common like removal of bone chips or something like that) and he redshirted this year. Turns out to be a great move as he'll be with us next year! Remember, he was our "rush end" on passing situations when he was a soph and played some his fresh. year as well.
