1. Rivals just released its first team ranking of the year and LSU is #6. The top 10 are:

    1. Texas
    2. Michigan
    3. Florida State
    4. Florida
    5. Miami
    6. LSU
    7. Auburn
    8. Texas A&M
    9. Oklahoma
    10. USC
  2. Alabama not in the top 10? I guess it is true that rivals has something against them this year, really underrating some of their kids.
  3. Only 3 SEC in the top ten? That's weird. I'm sure we'll have five or six like usual in the end.
  4. yeah UGA and Bama will probably end up in there
  5. Yahoo Sports: Rivals.com 2012 Team Recruiting Rankings
Michigan has 20 recruits and that large number helps their rankings. However, this is no fluke. It looks like THE Ohio State may be taking a recruiting hit this year. Last year Michigan had no 4 star commits from the state of Ohio. This year they already have 5. Alabama will move up, but Auburn and their recent temporary? BCS title are taking a few recruits away from them. Alabama's recent success allows them to recruit better OOS though. I was surprised looking at their class last year to find so many commits not from Alabama. As someone mentioned, Georgia just has so much talent that Richt will have a good class. I like Richt, but the Bulldogs are under performing considering the amount of talent in that state.
  6. Maybe these "paid" scouts don't know players?

    Signed,

    Mo Clairborne (2* player)
  7. Has anyone looked at Vanderbilt's recruiting this year? They are doing really well.
  8. That is actually a really good start for Vandy.

A 3.0 star rating would be a big deal for them.
  9. And Rivals has the lowest rankings for them. They have a few four stars on all of the other sites.
