Of course he was "defending himself". Was he "just" defending himself? No. He started the whole brouhaha when he brandished his illegally obtained weapon. He's lucky I wasn't on the jury, because in my view somebody who starts a melee is not entitled to a "self defense" defense. And somebody who is carrying an illegal weapon is certainly not entitled to use it. At least the McMichael's and Bryan were found guilty. Guess the good guys have to settle for three out of four scumbags removed from society.
