1. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to SabanFan again.
  2. Hey, genius! Galveston & Houston are in EAST Texas.

Brownsville & Corpus among others are in south Texas! If it hits Galveston & the greater Houston area (IN EAST TEXAS) & turns south it will then be heading toward Mexico. Lay off the corn liquor this early or get a Texas roadmap.

As for the guy that is calling Galveston ground zero, he's right, you'll see. The refineries are going into emergency mode right now and are shutting down ops. Get ready to pay some big bucks for gasoline soon in east Texas if the refineries see major damage.
  3. That looks similar to the computer models. All of them show a south and/or west direction after landfall.

  4. Galveston is screwed no matter what really. They have a 17 ft sea wall....great.

Only problem is the other side of Galveston has nothing protecting it thus the water will probably come crashing over a little upfront then the surge will come from the other side...flooding it all

  5. If they are doing this then Galveston is in the line of fire. Might not be ground zero though.

It takes a refinery 4 to 8 hours to do a complete shutdown. (dad works for the Shell plant in Norco) And they only do this when there is no other option. Because it takes DAYS to bring them back on line.
  6. Well, Galveston's sea wall will get a rebuild along with that of N.O. because 17 feet won't stop a 30 foot surge. That channel side will get hammered also. Anyone staying in Galveston better be in an elevated concrete structure or they're history. That's too bad, as there's a lot of nice beach homes and pretty property down there.
  7. Hey, genius! How's it feel to know Geritol man was right! Saban fan makes you look like a punk! Careful, that fifth grade edumacation is showing.
  8. VuantedTiger = Rhama? BWAHAHAHA!!!

I wont remind him of the bet we made a couple years ago...that he lost but LSU still won the NC so I didnt care if he left the forum for good or not. Besides, I liked reading his stuff...sometimes :hihi:
  9. Actually, FT, that's pretty damn accurate. Move the initial path a little west and you've got it. Now put the crayons away and go play outside.

I tried to dumb it down for him.
