1. Nobody is overlooking what KW brings to the table, we all know he is gonna be a STUD. We just want to discuss another one of our stud backs that isn't getting much mention. Talking about Murphy is in no way taking anything away from KW.
  2. Well we can rely on the reports that have been dripping out since last year that he was gaining good yardage against our #1 D running with a scout team OL.
  3. I've never heard that. And, it doesn't make sense.

It's crazy to think he was the best last year. This year is basically 2 practices in. So, I can't see how you could consistently hear that.

Either you are exaggerating a little bit or Murphy will be unbelievably good. Logic and probability says the former is true.

You wouldn't happen to be from the same hometown as Murphy by any chance, would you?

  4. Why doesn't it make sense? Just because he redshirted and didn't play last season, doesn't mean he wasn't on the practice field.

  5. I've seen Williams play and he can play this here game. I saw Scott play and he can play this here game, too.

I haven't seen Murphy, but everyone who has, from teammates to sportswriters say he may be the best of the three.

The SEC is a rough league and we have lost starting tailbacks to injury several times in recent years. LSU could have worse problems than being three-deep in healthy, SEC-caliber running backs.

  6. Miles described Murphy as the best athlete in the class when he signed with us. Vincent didn't say that Murphy was the best RB, he said that he was the quickest...

He was ranked the #9 RB in the country by Rivals & would've been every bit as highly recruited as Joe McKnight had he not been injured.

Talking about what he brings to the team in no way degrades Keiland. Clearly, we all expect big things from Keiland, but I think we can look forward to Richard being a great change of pace back and contributing significantly.

  7. I just dont get some of the attitudes here it's not the majority but the ones that do it really bring down the board this was a very possitive post but someone had to make it negative i do not get why this happens
  8. It's a forum.
  9. well same can be said about charles scott, usc was hard on him too.
  10. How has this thread become negative? If anything, we've been discussing the positives about Murphy and tackling the notion that just because he hasn't seen the field, doesn't mean you can't say he's the best athlete on the team - ESPECIALLY considering those in the know, i.e. coaches, players, sportswriters who go to practice, can back that statement up.

Am I missing what you were getting at?
