1. What happened to Saban ???

Spurrier already bailed out, Saban was never even on the table

Rodriguez is about to pull a Fran on WVU.... Even said "Hold the rope"

What happened to Shawn Alexander "I know who it is, and it is someone who already won a National Championship"

Man the Internet is full of garbarge rumors and bogus news stories.

I still giggle at all the Saban stuff. The man called out Alabama for firing Shula, said countless times he is not close to being interested, yet they still say. "Saban is dying to be a Bammer" Ummm No he is not never has been.

Oh well, I like most Bama fans really all I have ever met. Generally good people so hopefully this guy works out for them...

I just found all the HIGH hopes of getting Saban and Spurrier where all just sillyu rumors.

Lets be honest the thought of Saban in the SEC made most of us sick BUT we all realized there was NO substance to that anyway
  2. As an LSU fan living in West Virginia, I can tell you that these people are scared of losing Rodriguez. As alot of you know, Rodriguez came here to a mediocre program and brought it to prominence. And the fans at WVU know a good thing when the got it. The fans here are rabid. They haven't had the luxury of a great program for a long time and they are in fear of losing it. Rodriguez has roots in many parts of the country especially in the deep south. His offense went undefeated at Tulane. After that "feat" he was promised by Tulane to get the head coaching job when their current head coach departed. This fiasco went all the way to the day that Rodriguez got all gussied up for the day of the announcement before he was informed by the school that another candidate was chosen. Broken promises suck. Rodriguez then ended up at West Virginia and used the recruiting skills and contacts to bring Pat White to West Virginia from Alabama. Also got a pretty good receiver from south Louisiana.
Rodriguez will be a threat to all the southeastern conference teams. He's a helluva coach with alot of innovative offensive ideas. Schools from all conferences have visited WVU to get tips and study his schemes.
With accepting the Alabama job, he'll have access to 100X the recruiting he had a WVU and probobly get some much needed defensive minds to help out in that area. WVU would have been real scarey with a first-class defense this year. They were kinda similar to the Indy Colts when they had that awesome Manning offense, but couldn't stop any team from scoring on them.
I think that Rodriguez will be an even better coach at Alabama. He'll give us better games, and eventually beat us on occasion. He's an awesome story.

    :geauxtige
  3. I think the Tulane experience speaks volumes. 12-0 at Tulane?? Why they went with Scelfo is beyond me, but that's why Tulane will always be, well, Tulane.
  4. Bama is still talking with Saban
  5. Yesterday, I heard on the radio that the Rodriguez deal was to be done in the next 72 hours.

    Anybody else confirm?

  6. Yup, they said on Sportscenter they would announce between 1-3 days of his decision
  7. Bama rumor's say that Saban doesn't want to make a decision until after the Dolphins are eliminated from the playoffs, which couldn't be until Dec 10. Also Rumors are that CRR wants a deal in place in 72 hours because of weekend recruiting. So they either take CRR now or wait to see if Saban is even remotely interested. But that is all just the rumors everywhere here in Bama.
  8. Yep. Tulane deserves what it gets. Really a stupid decision.
  9. The had better grab RR because Saban ain't leaving Miami.
  10. For Sale:
