I was at the game. All I can remember was how tired I was after watching the game. I don't think we sat down except during halftime. One of, if not, the most exciting basketball games LSU has ever played. Chris Jackson could not miss.

    I'll be watching it. Thanks.

    No kidding!

    Shaq
    Stanley Roberts
    Chris Jackson
    Vernell Singleton
    Mo Williams
    Wayne Sims
    Randy Duval
    etc.

    They were loaded beyond belief.

I think beside Pistol Pete, Chris Jackson was the most exciting LSU player in school history. I remember when he would make the jump shot, he would hold the ball in mid air, draw the foul and then shoot for the 3 or 4 point shot. I'd like to know how many times he did that for a 4 point play. Awesome player.

Well said. I'll never forget CJ's 4 point play against Georgetown in the Superdome. That was an amazing basketball game. I think the 4 point play may be the most exciting in basketball.

I too, have that game on Tape. One of my favorites. It was before Hank Gathers died.

Dale Brown is the reason for the stars but also the reason we did not win it all. I loved Dale's ability to recruit & his talent for making mediocre ball players better. His final 4 teams were without much NBA type talent, but when he did have super stars, like this team he was clueless.
Would have been nice to have someone like Phil Jackson as an assistant coach. Anyway, I don't know this for sure, but my guess is that Dale would waste practice on preaching or telling tales of the "the little engine that could" as opposed to developing a strategy to match his talent in preparation for March Madness. He had 2 final four teams & 2 elite 8. The rest underachieved for the most part as a result of Dale. JMHO.
