Perhaps someone out there can help some of us "out-of-staters" and let me know if there's any station picking up any of the regional games at Alex Box, that could be caught outside of the south? I know Direct TV offered a CWS series package in the past, but didn't know if anyone knows of anything being offered for regionals. Thx!

Jeez, I think that there is something a little more interesting than the Gainesville Regional or Division II baseball... I didn't KNOW they had Division II ball. I thought everyone played Division I... oh well, learn something new everyday..
From the advocate TV coverage Regionals at Cal State Fullerton and Georgia Tech will be televised on ESPNU. The regional at Florida will be on another cable network, College Sports TV. All other regional TV coverage is up for bid. Bids are due at NCAA headquarters at 5 p.m. today, LSU officials said. The NCAA plans to name the networks of choice Wednesday morning. Ronnie Rantz, founder of the Jumbo Sports Network, said he will submit a bid. LSU officials said Cox Sports Television, which televised the Baton Rouge regional last year, will also submit a bid. http://www.2theadvocate.com/stories/053105/lsu_extras001.shtml
don't mean to change the subject...but the article says that Meier is the likely starter for Friday's game....:tigbas:
thanks for the update, guys! I just hope something is available to us unfortunate souls located north of the Mason/Dixon line.
I like that decision. For whatever reason, Meier is kinda slumping as of late. Where he was "lights out" in year's past (SEC tourny for instance and post season), he hasn't had his best stuff of late. You really want your ACE (which, would be Smith) going in either the 3rd game (hopefully with a 2-0 record at that point), or in an elimination game should we lose one.
