I may have said this before, but I always hated Ric Flair. For the reasons I was supposed to. Plus, he kicked the stinger out of the horsemen. The more I grew up and realized how cool Flair’s gimmick was, it was too late, he was out of his prime.
Right, it definitely tugged at the heart strings. I never knew Flair's back story though - that he actually became the character he created and lived the Nature Boy lifestyle for so long. All while neglecting his wives and kids. It was just fascinating to me. Hard to believe he drank basically a 12-pack and pint of vodka every day for 40 years. Something in him is very broken and I'm still not sure he's figured it out. Even after his son's death and his rehab stints.
