I agree that the idea Randall can't help us no matter how much he improves is pretty far off the mark. However, I do have to say that I hope this forum doesn't lose it's quality by running off all those that don't think LSU is going to go 36-0 over the next three years. I'd love it as much as the next guy here but I just can't help the feeling that people lose their credibility when they start thinking like that. God bless Don Long, a.k.a "Dandy Don" and his loyalty but if all we do is pump up LSU all day long it turns into a purple and gold lovefest that is just too much to stomach....for God's sake LSU is ranked in the Top 5 by almost everybody and how many threads on "disrespect" have been posted on here? LSU's practice was on national t.v. the other day....I remember when LSU's games weren't on that often and when they were we usually got our asses handed to us by Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, etc. The only team we could count on beating year in and year out was Mississippi State....I do remember that much. Here's a list, it's easier: -I don't think LSU is going to win the national championship this year.... :sob: -I don't think Georgia's going to win it either...... -I don't think you can play the SEC schedule and go undefeated, period. -I don't think the system for deciding the Nat'l Championship is worth ****. :shock: -I don't think the national media has it out for LSU.....Louisiana is a relatively small market compared to Florida/California and they like people to watch the shows they put on about football. It keeps the sponsors happy. -I don't think the US basketball team deserves the gold medal. They aren't the best team and they don't deserve it. -I don't think John Kerry deserves all his medal's.... :cuss: I do wish Biggles and some of the other guys that used to be on this forum were still around, even though I thought he was crazy....it was interesting to hear his take every once in while. :dis: So, gduhon, keep up the good work buddy, let's us know about all your hopes, dreams, fears and nightmares...it stirs things up a little and I'm all for that. :thumb: By the way, where are all the 'Barners? can you drones not accept a dissenting opinion without breaking out insult after insult? considering randall's actual production in the games he has played, isn't it reasonable to raise some doubt about his future production? what have you seen in this guy that gives you 100% confidence? news flash: saban is not a god. it's fine to support the team, but when you viciously attack those with an opinion that deviates from saban's coachspeak, you are acting more stupidly than any "negative poster" could. edit: ditto flabengal...wish i would have read your post beforehand.
I agree about Randall. as much as I "hope" he has improved, from what I have seen in the past and the first scrimmage. It will be a LONG year offensively. Not to say that we won't win. I wouldnt mind 3 - 0 every game, with our defense.
its funny.. people act like randall is the worst QB in the country.. even if he plays at the exact level that he played at 2 years ago, its still good enough to win games..
I was reading on soonerfans.com recently and one of their "fans" was seriously suggesting that White be benched for one of their young quarterbacks. The backup qb is so well-loved on every team.
It's not what you say, it's how you say it. There have been several MR threads on here with spirited disagreements but no real venom. Remarks like this, though: deserve to be slammed, especially when the reader is on the tail end of his 16th beer.
