1. IT IS NOW AWRD TIME

  2. Never has there been a more deserving recipient. :thumb:
  3. he is not very accurate, which is somewhat important, don't you think SabanFan.

Why don't you state why he is a Qb, and don't just spit out Saban talk, form an opinion on your own, you phuckin jerk.....
  4. Well.. this wasnt the intent of my post.. but hell.. run with it.. heh
  5. Your initial reply pissed me off more than I thought a one-line comment could do. The reply above helps your case out a little. At least you hope you're wrong and admitted to having doubts with Mauck. If Randall struggles for some reason, I have an incredibly high level of confidence with Jimbo/Nick to get Russell or Flynn ready IMMEDIATELY to play championship football. But Randall has earned the spot he's in. He also needs our support and could be the difference between the ultimate success of the team and it's failure.
  6. I can't agree with you more, I am rooting for the guy, but with him, my pessimism takes over for what ever reason.

I just hope that he does not make the mistakes that Mauck avoided last year.

  7. Actually, he's gotten better over the last couple of years... 2002 season he was @ about 48% (181-87-5)... Last season he was @ 62.5% (40-25-1)... While in 2003 he had considerable less play time, he was a much more efficient QB... and from what I hear, he's much more about staying in the pocket now and making the right decision, which is why they're starting him.

I think he's gonna suprise a few folks... especially now that we actually have an O-Line (Which we didn't have much of in 2002, or at least they didn't play well as a unit...)

Also not to mention, he can run very well...

    Geaux Tigers!!!
  8. I know I'm gonna get blasted for this BUT I HOPE SOMEONE ( randall since he is starting ) does a BETTER job than Mauck. Hey we can always hope for even better right?
Bless him I love him for his help BUT he damn near lost us two games that I know of and he wasn't exactly "spot on" in the Florida game, although I'll not blame him for that.

He handed Ole Piss a 7 point spot. ( INT ) :sob:

He damn near let OU come back in the sugar. ( INTS ) I was worried, thank you defense!

The rest of the time he did well. a great leader, an average QB.
I hope he does GREAT in whatever he does, yeah the NFL too. Lots of AVG. QB's have played in the NFL and done well. Thanks matt for the GOOD things you did. It overshadows any screw ups I may recall. :thumb:

The REAL credit goes to our DEFENSE :thumb: which was AWESOME. if you shut the other team down completely you can afford a few screw ups on offense.

Second kudos goes to LAST YEAR'S OFFENSIVE LINE! :thumb:

When they finally broke ( rare ) that's when Mauck got rattled and threw it to whoever was open, yeah even the other guys. Hey don't blast me watch the games again.

Our Offensive line blew holes for JV and all our RB's to run a big ole mack truck through. Ask JV I bet he tells you alot of his sucess was GOOD BLOCKING OUT OF THE BACK FIELD AND BY THE OL.

Kudos to the whole team it takes EVERYONE to win but it only takes ONE guy to screw up a whole season.

I think Randall will be fine IF he can be a leader like Mauck.

THIS SHOULD SUM IT UP FOR ALL YOU RANDALL HATERS.

    1. BEST CASE SCENARIO:
Randall starts, plays great, our RB's score big, Randall gains confidence and gradually starts to make more completions. The score gets run up on the other team and Ja Marcus gets playing time to seal the future and take some snaps.

    2. NEXT SCNARIO.
Randall sucks, can't even hand off the ball to JV :dis: ( unlikely ) Saban pulls him and puts Ja Marcus in and he is dynamite and we kill the opposition. ( NOT LIKELY but it can happen ) I personally WOULD never WANT this to happen because we take a chance on DROPPING GAMES in this version. ( thats an L son not a W )

    3. BAD CASE SCenario
Randall sucks as in 2. and Saban lets him play too long. ( BAD VERY BAD BUT NOT LIKELY ) PSSTTT for you guys that think this will happen have a little faith in a GREAT COACH. :dis:

    4. WORST CASE SCENARIO
Randall sucks, Saban replaces him and Jamarcus isn't ready and we LOSE GAMES. :bncry:

Now it doesn't take a ROCKET SCIENTIST to see scenario number one is the BEST choice.
SOOOOOOOO..... QUIT YER DAHM WHINING ABOUT RANDALL AND GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM. :dis:
Hey we all have opinions and it's nice to hear them ( sorta ) but this horse has been beat to death, it's time to play ball !!!!      :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
  9. Just how much has Randall learned ?

Sept. 18 We will see how much he has learned . From then on boys and girls it is for real, only SEC teams left to play. Georgia and Florida and it looks like all except Vandy will have a chance at LSU this year . You can bet the world that you sit on , they all think they have a chance . Georgia is mad Florida is wanting to prove that last year was a real win not a slip up on the Tigers part . The pressure is on now !!! Oh did you know ? That Vandy won the last game between LSU and Vandy? Guess what they think that they have a chance at beating the Tigers in Baton Rouge ! GEAUX TIGERS !!
  10. Couldn't have said it better... Mauck's strong point was his game-management skills... He was really an average passer and runner as dictated by the number of interceptions he threw... But he knew who to get the ball to, and he kept his cool and didn't get disgruntled when things didn't go his way. Marcus Randall may not have quite the management skills, but I think he's made improvements in that area... But he IS a much better athletic QB than Mauck was....

As far as the scenarios, You're right on the money... I'm quite confident that Saban and Co. have worked all of that out and they know just what they're going to do. We have what I believe to be the best coaching staff in the nation bar none. Also, keep in mind people, that just because we won the Championship last season, doesn't mean it's ok to expect it to happen again... This isn't an easy thing to accomplish. I'd like to see them do it again and go undefeated and all that stuff, but I could live with another 1 loss or even a 2 loss season. I won't be let down, and I won't be calling for his head if we don't end up in Miami. Hopefully other tiger fans won't either. We WILL be among the 'elite' (meaning in the top 5) teams for some time to come I think...

    Geaux Tigers!!!
