It's been many many years since LSU had great linebackers. James and Faulk were pretty good but probably were never in the top 20 LB's playing at the time. Vaugn is good but no where near great. You probably have to go back to Michael Brooks to find LSU's last great linebacker.
And we have had them with gread DL's first and very good DB's. Like I said it's been many years since we had even a single "great" LB much less multiple great LB's. If we would have had great or even really good LB's in 2003 it probably would have been the greatest defense of all time.
