Why not redshirt him like Hollis did 2 years ago & we'll have vaughn, highsmith & kaule next year?

I think vaughn is a senior. Good idea otherwise, unless E.J. wants to play now.

You are right. All the more reason to redshirt him.

Vaughn IS a senior. He's gone after this season.

    LSU always has GREAT linebackers

    Faulk, James, now Vaughn

and just wait till the next one blossums... that next one being Ali Highsmith...

he may be the best of all of them

This is Kuale's 5th season, he's done unless he gets a medical exemption...a tedious and unpredictable obstacle.

how so? He signed in 2004, had three to play two, correct? He originally transferred from Georgia Tech to a junior college, would that have something to do with the fact he can't redshirt this year?

I think Highsmith will be an All American before he leaves LSU.

Kuale started at Georgia Tech in 2001 and apparently sat out a year (I don't know why) before attending JC. He is in his 5th year. His only option for another year is to apply for a hardship and he has to be really, truly injured for the remainder of the year for that to even have a chance. If he can be physically ready to play, he pretty much has to. If he was injured in 2002 (as I said, I haven't a clue), he could apply for a hardship if there is documentation showing that it was legit for the entire year.
