1. If the price point isn't a factor the synthetic oil is always the better choice. Its just a superior product!

    With that said, regular oil and filter changes are far more important. You can easily go 5k with conventional oil or with a blend and as @tirk said 7-8k on a synthetic.

  2. so its not new yes. must be a '05 or so those are the best anyhow. otherwise your manual would say a heavier weight. hopefully you got a '95 5 speed manual.

  4. In all seriousness, I do the squeeze test before I buy and if they feel right get them. I shop different places, but as long as its a quality produce store I never have an issue. I don't eat them, my wife does and she never complains.
    And if they were not good she would complain.
