I'm guessing MS Popeye's is little different from LA. Its when you start getting farther away that it starts changing. I went to college with guys from Tampa who thought Popeye's sucked, until they had it in nola.

Never tried this Popeye's chicken sandwich, but from the brouhaha it seems like like they marinate the chicken in crack. Every once in awhile i get the Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich from Chik-fil-a - always a great sandwich. Does this Popeye's beat it? Equal it?

every once in a while we get Popeye's fried chicken, cajun rice, etc...pretty good, sometimes too salty though.

the beans and rice are great. i dunno why more places dont have a better slection of sides. popeyes mashed potatoes are good, and the dirty rice. french fries suck i want the option of red beans, thats why i ate at popeyes every day for years

I saw a Popeye's today with no crowds so I got a spicy chicken sandwich. Chicken was bigger than I expected on a sandwich but no better than regular Popeye's spicy chicken. Bun was a bit soggy by the time I got hom and the pickles were icky looking so I replaced them with bread and butter pickles. Not enough sauce that I even tasted it and it could have used a bit of lettuce.

Overall it was filling for a $3.99 sandwich but certainly not worth waiting in line for.

i went to popeyes today to have a sandwich and the claim was they were "out nationally" until october. seems like a marketing scam
