1. I see a lot of hostile comments about JR. I keep seeing him doing the same things (mistakes) Jason Campbell did at AU. He isn't mentally ready to play outside his coaching. If he does start to "see" the game better, though, what an upside. Do you think he matures into the QB that some think he can be?

My 2 cents, I think he is going to become a very good, tough to beat QB. He doesn't quit on himself or the team when things go bad. People will follow him.
  2. Dude, Jamarcus Russell is probably the most gifted quarterback to ever put on that uniform. Good coaching and experience will prove it.

I am pretty hard on this team, but honestly, I am pretty happy with what JR has done this year. I don't see why people get on him so much.
  3. JR had a great game in my opinion...
  4. Guy's a sophomore.

Arm is strong as anyone in the history of the NFL.

    Big and tough.

    Likeable to teammates.

    A
  5. JR is young. He can be taught to play smarter, but you can't teach what he already brings to the game.
  6. I think by the time he is a Senior.... HOLY CRAP LOOKOUT
  7. I have a friend of mine that calls him "The Truth". The name has pretty much stuck and that's all we call him. I think he'll eventually be great. But, he's not quite there yet. I have been very please though. The Truth!
  8. He is a future top 5 NFL draft pick. Can't learn 6'6" 230, and arm like nobody in NCAA and pushin top in NFL.
  9. JR wouldn't be getting near as much criticism if he wouldn't have future stud backing him up. If not for Perrilloux, we'd see a young, up-and-comming qb with nothing stopping him from becoming an LSU great. JR has had his bad moments, but this was only has 4th game as the true starter so let's be patient with him.
  10. Yeah, when Cambell was a redshirt, his name was "The Future". Everyone loved his arm and trashed him for his smarts. He played the game as it was drawn out on the board. Did not improvise. Now, everyone always loved him.
