He is the Mississippi nominee for the Joe Montana QB of the Year Award.

Matt Barkely was the 2008 winner and the winner will be announced during the Outback Bowl.

    Re: Chris Garrett

Papers are in and he is now ready to practice with the team during the Spring semester.

Interesting article also talks about Bama turning him down and saying he was not an SEC QB and then they came back at him hard realizing they made a mistake.

    Re: Chris Garrett

    Great article, bhelm.

"We've got a four-star receiver committed, another five-star that's a solid commitment that no one knows about, and they're in contention for the No. 1 player in the country who is a wide receiver. So, you are going to have targets to throw to if you go there."

He refers to Debose as a "solid commitment". Nice.

Could be Benton since hes disappeared off the map the past two years but you're probably right, Debose has been believed to be a silent for awhile and I think that is what he is hinting at.

Benton isn't a silent commit at all - he's referring to Debose.

    Re: Chris Garrett

Chris has been invited to play in the International Federation of American Football Junior World Championship, representing the United States as a member of the first-ever U.S. Junior National Team. The tournament will feature high school-aged national teams from Canada, France, Japan, Germany, Sweden, the USA, and two other countries yet to be determined. This will mark the first time a gold medal is awarded to a world champion of American football.

The head coach of USA will be Chuck Kyle (who is 248-56-1 at St. Ignatius High School, including nine State Championships since 1988).

I had no idea they had youth football in all those countries.

I love seeing American football being enjoyed elsewhere.
