1. Now and then you come up with a good one, coach.

I am beginning to see the problem here. He's not worried about being benched for poor play as long as his defense and special teams win the games for him.

    Damn strong.

    Yep.

  2. that almost confirms that Les benched him on special teams after that.
  3. Yep, but won't bench JJ. Not so much for poor play, but for poor attitude and lack of leadership, pouting and yelling at the receivers. He should've been benched for that if not his poor play.

  5. The thing about the boo's is it came from the students. Maybe a scattering among the rest but most mature people with any sense won't boo a young athlete. So Miles analogy of the booers life is of the mark because most student aren't married.
  6. Quote:
Les Miles: (on booing Jefferson) "It's not conceivable to me. I promise you this: that guy goes to work, he goes to the coffee pot and complains about the coffee. And he didn't make the coffee."
    If you say so...
  7. Not to contradict MYSELF (earlier thread), but after rewatching the game (not fun to do this time) Peterson was back for the next two punts. He stopped fielding them after getting dehydrated (again) and was back for kickoffs, they just refused to kick to him.
  8. OK. if you can confirm he was back there. Then I am wrong. I just don't recall him back there after the TD pose.
  9. Yeah - definitely for the next couple. I thought he was benched, just like you did.

Miles should've benched him. But just to make a point on one or two punt returns.
  10. He wasn't benched...he was in the locker room...twice.
