You see, we won last year because of all the talent. Talent which Brady really recruit himself. Now this year we are losing because of lack of talent. Because Brady didn't recruit well!

.... someone will take this post seriously.

    :hihi:

I'd hate to see what would happen if a winning, "Talented" team ever had a good coach to go along with it. :D

Yeah, because we went the final four last year. So if we take out the "x" factor (see: nine years of mediocrity), and look just at last year, logically no matter how bad we end up this year (see: missed NIT invitation) John Brady is not at all to blame because we made it to the FF last year. Therefore Brady is a great coach and not at all worth pointing any finger at because (once again) we made it to the final four last year (is it just me or is there a pattern deleoping here?).

    Does this logic sound better?

This basketball season is reminding me more and more of the 1999 football season in that we had high expectaions both years (pre season only) then it all went downhill from there, leading to Gerry's getting fired. But, all of the DiNardo defenders could only really hang onto was the previous season's defeat of #1 Florida.

DRC40 i dont see how he busted me he actually proved my point

Read the post he quoted and tell me what you disagree with in them because at the time that is how i felt.

I usually do support our coaches but John Brady has now lost this team. At the time of those post he hadnt.

It looked like today this team had no coach. This wasnt just a tough day.

I still dont think he is a bad coach but for some reason this team is not playing for him.

That is a cause for concern and must be addressed.

No one's saying that LSU doesn't have problems right now. The fact is, not every season can be a great one. Obviously, the loss of DMitch and Tyrus hurt tremendously. We have a few new players who aren't used to Brady's system or the players so they're having loads of chemistry problems. By this point and so many losses, there comes a point where you're just not going to try your hardest. Human nature, there.

I'm not saying it is Brady's fault. I'm not saying it's not Brady's fault. I think it's some combination of chemistry problems/lack of guard/and Brady. You can't blame Brady for Tack turning out the way he did.

As for the claims of mediocrity, well, the facts don't lie. Keeping in mind that LSU was coming off of sanctions because of Saint Dale, Brady has posted a 60% win percentage (including an 85% win percentage at home for 2001-2006; with the 2004-2005 season going undefeated at home against the conference), two SEC Coach of the Year awards, one NABC/USBWA District Coach of the Year award, one National Coach of the Year award (plus one runner up), two SEC West championships, one SEC outright championship, four NCAA tournament appearances (one Sweet 16, and one Final Four), and two NIT appearances (that's 6 of 7 seasons with postseason appearances).

I've seen worse, and to portray the man as totally inept is laughable. I don't think he's a basketball prodigy, but I think we can all step off of his testes just a smidget.

Say what you want but this team is not that good, no matter who the coach. Look at these players, who do you think can start at a big time program. At the most 2. Big Baby and Tasmin Mitchell. That's it.

You can blame Brady all you want, but this team is not that talented.

P.S. I'm not saying Brady is an excellent coach.
