I'm back in La. on leave and need some help on fishing places around the Lafayette area. I don't have a boat, which puts me at a disadvantage, I know, but I'm open to suggestions. Can someone please help a brother out?
Thanks, Shane. Heard from the folks around here Spanish Lake doesn't really have crap anymore. I drove over to belle river today and caught 5-6 bass, only one was a keeper at little over 2lbs. Not bad for just pulling over along the road, as is the case without a boat. They were jumping all over the place, though. There's no doubt Louisiana is the Sportsman's Paradise, but paradise is hard to come by without a boat. I've already got the truck and motorcycle, now I just have to add the boat. Maybe that will be a good retirement gift to myself.
I will shoot you a pm with my digits, I've got someone that will take you out if you want to go. He just bought a new boat and won't mind.
I'm not a big fan of them but a lot of guys fish from kayaks and love them. You might consider it. There's one that only weighs 15 pounds- can't remember the name.
