1. in Memphis, which is a BBQ town, you can get barbeque pizzas anywhere. They put smoked meats on them and a tasty BBQ sauce. even the cheese is smoked. Pretty damned good.
  2. i should have been more specific. pineaple is actualy not terrible, it is fantastic, it is only bad on pizza. pizzas need savory, not sweet, toppings.
  3. Then I don't suppose you would like the pizza a woman in my office suggested.

Prosciutto, fresh figs, sweet corn and English peas.

    I may try the prosciutto.
  4. i used to prefer deep dish pizza, but now i have a new york style slice 3 or 4 times a week, because of convenience and speed/cost. if available, i wil always chose the gyro meat pizza, then plain, then fresh tomatoes, if they are not mixed with chicken, which they commonly are.

corn actually sounds ok, corn is generally a great thing and works everywhere.
  5. I definitely prefer NY Style slices to Chicago deep dish. And I like deep dish well enough, which I guess just means I really, really like pizza.

Here are some of the worst toppings I've had on pizza:

    - Pineapple (#1 by a large margin)
    - Alfredo sauce
    - Fresh, non-baked mozzarella (easily the most overrated of all cheeses)
    - Apple (enough with the sweets already, may as well put skittles on it)
    - Anchovies
    - Oriental style anything

  7. i had a pizza last night that was great. it came from a relatively new place that is fairly close to me so i can get takeout easily. the name of the place is old chicago, but i don't know how many there are even tho it is national (only two restaurants in oklahoma) but i digress.

this new place has a great thick crust, although i don't even like thick crust, and a really nice crispy flat crust. the sauce was minimal so the pizza wasn't swimming in it, the toppings were excellent and abundant - not stingy like some places are. and just the right amount of cheese. i had the nice crispy thin crust.

the three topping i had, a friend turned me on to. pineapple, canadian bacon, and jalapenos. i had the first two together before, but the addition of the jalapenos is what completed it. it was delish!!!
  8. I got more suggestions from folks at the after-St. Patricks Day-parade crawfish boil in my neighborhood.

    1. Cappicola, green olives, leeks, and pimentos.

    2. shrimp, mushroom, and capers

    3. double jalapeno and crumbled Jimmy Dean sausage

I may try the Deano Jalapeno soon.
  9. The best pizza I ever ate was friend chicken and bacon.
  10. I prefer to eat the enemy chickens.
