Uh, Didn't Southern beat us?? Also I work at a health club in Opelousas and I can only think of one person that I know of that actually likes UL more than LSU and he is a grad of UL. 25 miles away from UL and LSU fans outnumber UL fans 100 to 1 and thats not an exaggeration.
I really don't think the crowd will affect Northwestern. We've been to Alex Box before and have faced (and beaten) LSU before. WE play LSU at least once a year. Therefore, we know what to expect. The crowd will definitely give LSU an advantage over anyone they face. I just don't think our team will get rattled by the crowd. Marist may get rattled. They aren't from around here and haven't experienced that kind of atmosphere yet. It MAY rattle them. With that said let's try and eliminate Rice and Marist first and have an all Louisiana final.:laflagwav :laflagwav :laflagwav :laflagwav FORK EM
oh, don't worry my friend, the fans WILL rattle NSU. If we don't, I'm sure our boys will handle it. Want to know one reason why? Well, pal, perhaps you've been in a coma the last decade and a half, but this is Alex Box Stadium. This is where dreams come true--well, maybe not for opposing teams. :hihi: I like Northwestern's group of kids, and it's a shame the NCAA stuck them with us, but our guys are used to the pressure of the post-season. Marist has NO idea what it's going to be like, and I'm sure Northwestern will be thinking that since they've played LSU before, they can handle "the Box." June is a whole 'nother season, and quite frankly, LSU always seems to dominate their regionals. Why should the year be any different? :geauxtige
I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Personally, I'm not worried about LSU right now. We have a tough rice team to beat on Friday, so we need to take 1 game at a time. But, when the time comes to play the Tigers, I'm sure we'll see what the Demons are made of. It will be a great test for our team. see ya'll at the box.
What my man is saying here is that comparing midweek games facing inferior programs to regionals, in terms of crowd presence, is quite misguided.

Forgot to come back and check the winners. 13/16 here, not bad. How did everyone else do? Need to make a new thread with the Super Regionals.
