Nonsense. Veto power is about check and balances in government, not to justify partisan political coercion while exercising executive authority. Coercion of public employees and abuse of power are real charges and felonies.

Winston, check and balances are between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government, NOT the two political parties. Ethics is involved here. You and Perry seem to confuse the authority of the Governor of Texas with the campaign funding schemes of the Republican politician Rick Perry. It was if he was trying to head off the investigation she was administering and replace her with a pet republican. Kind of blatant.

I haven't been able to follow this one yet. I just hope they don't lose any pertinent emails and I hope Perry didn't first learn about this when he saw it on the news.
