1. Yes how dare Miles play the number one player in all of college football over a youngster who never took a snap. And even worse suspend a player for bad behavior, how horrible and unfair. If any other coach would have done it different he needs his head examined.

  3. What's "not good"??? ...besides being a Trojan fan???

    Just kidding!

...No....But seriously, I don't care what you have to say about our little suspended player....Go worry about your own Reggie Bush's and housing scandals...
  4. Your right, but I was reading between the lines.

This is why I think RP may be behind JL come the fall. Everybody makes a fuss about JL being a true freshman with no game experience when RP has about 15 snaps of ultra mop up duty from last year. All three of the QB's are going to have to deal with a new offensive system so RP doesn't have that much of an edge there either. I think Miles may be more serious than people think when he talks about JL and RP. We know what happens when you get in his dog house. Just ask the Alley Cat. So many questions, I'm ready for fall.

  5. There is much more to experience than playing time. It can be overwhelming for incoming freshmen to adjust to college life and big time college football. RP has been through all of that, Lee has not. Despite the OC change, RP has had the opportunity to go through spring practice and learn Crowton's system. RP is light years ahead of Lee right now. It'll depend on Lee's maturity to how fast he can adjust to it all.

I know this. Should Flynn falter or go down with an injury, I'd be more comfortable with RP coming in as opposed to a true freshman. I can only hope RP gets his act together ... SOON!
  6. I suspect RP will be back on the team for fall practice.
  7. Didn't Quinn start as a true freshman? And I thought JD Booty was the #2 as a true freshman for USC? I could be wrong about those, but if JL is the #2 guy come fall I wouldn't be too worried. I'd still be happy if RP gets it together and can stay at #2. I'm just going to pray that MF stays healthy and we don't have to find out until 08'.

  8. I'm sure you can find some true freshmen QBs who played and did quite well. But I bet the list of true freshmen QBs who played and didn't do so well is much longer. I'm just looking at it from what is typically the norm. It's not easy for true freshmen, especially QBs, to come in and compete right away.

I expect Flynn to play well, but we really don't know. Should he falter, I think Miles would be quicker to put in RP than he would Lee. We saw last year how Miles hesitated to play true freshmen at the beginning of the year.

I hope Flynn lights it up and RP gets some valuable playing time to take over in '08. Lee can redshirt. If Lee turns out to be the better QB in '08, great. I don't want to find out this year.

  9. "Just kidding"? ... no you weren't.

For the record and FYI, I actually follow LSU and like them ... a LOT.

I meant ... that's too bad he is banned from practice this summer. I thOT he'd be back sooner rather than later and that is "not good" for him or the team. I was not making a judgement on LSU, the team, its coaches or it's fans. Little sensitive aren't we?

That you don't like USC, however, is of no concern to me.

As far as Reggie goes, I'm not the least bit concerned and spend no energy worrying about it at all ... why bother? Y'all spend so much time "figuring it all out" that any energy I waste would be nonsensical.

By the way, he doesn't play for USC any more. He's a Saint now ... or hadn't you heard?
