    After spending 4 years with Miles, you guys know him about as well as we know Saban. So what can we expect from this guy? What can you tell us about him that may not have been apparent in the press conference?

    I was at the game so I would appreciate some info as well. Its a pain in the ass to look at all the threads for a week. Any info would be great, especially his offensive philosophy, sets, ball distribution, etc...

    Who is this Miles guy you speak of? The leader of OSU football is Mike Gundy.

    Forgive me, it's just that a lot of facts came out today about this LSU process, and there were a lot things that Miles said that are "not fully the truth, not fully a lie" types of things. Then on top of that, he didn't even thank OSU for the opportunity and the support that was given him here.

    Well, at least he said he is going to come back here and talk to Mike Gundy's players. We'll get more information out of them.

    No, he's "relatively honest" as he stated today in his press conference. He is a hell of a football coach. He got a lot out of a little here. He is a great recruiter. Our cupboard is stocked with players that used to never even give us the time of day. He needs some help with booster relations. Some of our big boosters don't like him all that much. It is a damn good thing Mike Gundy was his AHC/OC here, or we probably wouldn't be getting some of the financial support we are getting.

    He'll do you guys a damn good coaching job down there. He just needs to surround himself with some excellent defensive coaches, and you guys will compete for NC's every year.

    I gotta tell ya, first I am a Sooner fan but I am also an OSU graduate. I live in Stillwater and have been around during the entire Miles tenure. Quite honestly I am surprised that Coach Miles is the best coach that LSU could hire. I might be proven wrong here but, I would be very surprised if Miles coaches LSU to a SEC Championship, much less a National Title game!

    If I could put it in simple terms, if Coach Stoops were to leave OU, Coach Miles wouldn't by on my list of top 10 or even 15 coaches. It just leaves me baffled that this was the best available for LSU.

    As noted, Coach Miles wasn't the greatest with the boosters and many of the average fans didn't have a high regard for him. Even after they had beaten OU twice in his first two seasons, many of the ones I know still disliked him. He would have a propensity to make bonehead calls at odd times of a game. Now, there is a big difference between showing confidence in your players and giving them a fighting chance to succeed and going for it on 4th and 12 at your own 30! Sure you have the element of surprise but you certainly don't have a high degree of success. Several losses over the years can be pinned to bonehead calls by Miles. Maybe, with better players, he will have more success at LSU but, if you liked Saban, I don't know how much you will like Miles.

    Good luck guys!

    Good thing you don't hire coaches for OU... you are a traitor to your alma mater anyway... we don't need your kind around here...

    Miles' claim to fame so far is that he is the only guy on the planet to beat Stoops twice.

    He was just giving his opinion and at this point I want to hear what everyone has to say both good and bad. It will be quite a while before we have seen enough to make a decision on we have seen with our own eyes.

    That is so comical, OSU fans are ignorant enough to think that same way. Truth is, I have always been and will always be a Sooner fan! Sooner Born and Sooner Bred and soon enough I will be Sooner Dead! I went to OSU for reasons other than my football preferences but that is neither here nor there because nobody should really care.

    All I can say is that I am not envious of LSU hiring Miles as their head coach. As a matter of fact, I was sorta glad to see him go because he is such an idiot. OSU fans liked to call it spirit or confidence (at least while he was their coach), while the rest of us simply called it stupidity.

    Now, maybe LSU will play any "sucker" around and "Let 'er rip"! ;)

    {The above is my un-edited truthful opinion, I can say that I hope he performs at a level that many of you fine LSU fans find acceptable. The only reason I am glad he is gone from OSU is because I thought he was an embarrassment with his demeanor and comments. Otherwise, he did seem to put a competitive team on the field most of the time.}

    Good luck!
