Re: alot of good info Use Google map and search for restaurants and bars near your hotel. It will print out a street map with all the locations. The Chimes, Raouls, Serranos mexican, and nationally famous Louie's Cafe are just off campus at the Highland road northgate. Walk-ons is off campus on the southside. No hotels and few eateries are near Tiger Stadium, unfortunately. But an Acadian hotel is a good spot to stay, they are the closest, along with the downtown hotels. From the Acadian Throughway at I-10 hotels . . . TJ Ribs is right across the street along with a good Mexican/Cajun resturant called Mestizo's. Outback and Texas steakhouses are also at that intersection. The Caterie and Jubans are within walking distance and Parrains seafood, Rama Thai food, DiGiulios Italian food and Pinetta's European food are within a half mile. So are Ivars, Georges, ZeeZee Garden, Duvic's, and Chelsea's bar and grills. Georges has the best shrimp po-boy in town. Ivars has the prettiest waitresses. Try the Wienersnitzel at Pinnetta's. The Caterie is a good deli in the daytime and a rockin' night club at night. The young girls are at The Caterie, hot girls are at Chelseas, and the MILFs are at Zee Zees. Hey, it's my neighborhood!
Welcome. Your hotel is on South Acadian Thruway. For the best pizza in town, travel north on Acadian Thruway from I-10 for about 2 miles and turn right on Government St. Travel east about 1.5 miles to the Fleur-de-Lis restaurant. http://fleurdelispizza.com/
that was a great summary,,,and yeah, i just googled them all, I'm set except for the decision between young, hot, and milfs,oh well cant go wrong there.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
You should stay in New Orleans on Thrusday and Friday night and have some fun in the Quarter. Then on Saturday drive up to Baton Rouge and tailgate and go to the game.
i thought about that,,,not only would i like to visit the quarter but see the katrina aftermath also,,,is there still evidence of that? i know a group that went to help in Bogalusa,,is that close to BR or NO? We will have friday and saturday only. With a 13 hour drive friday and sunday i dont want to even see a car saturday.
Bogalusa is at least an hour and a half drive from New Orleans. And the drive from New Orleans to Baton Rouge isnt that bad. Its about an hour. They also have 3 buses go from New Orleans to Baton Rouge everyday. EDIT: If you go to New Orleans to see hurricane damage it would be best to go on a tour. It is easy for an outsider to get lost in New Orleans.
Re: alot of good info I used to go to chelseas before the games, then it was torn down. where is it located now?
