How do most people view the board? I just changed it to show the posts from like the past 10 days or so, sorted by the most recent posts, in descending order.

Is this how most people do it?

I just use the "default" setting....I have never tried anything else

I view them in the order of most recent post to latest post. I beleive that is the default setting. I really like the way this board is set up because I can look at the new icon next to all the post I have not read and know that I am not missing anything.

I just hit "View new posts".

I changed the default setting to show 40 post per thread. It helps on threads with lots of posts.
