That's silly. He was given a raise in his last year of a 3-year contract. He was not extended beyond this year in the contract because it was understood he was leaving. Finebaum kills me the way he wants the sports world to think he's actually breaking news when he too knew the contract details. I didn't say he wouldn't leave I just always associated it with a HC gig.

 

I definitely see some of the mad scientist play calls Kiffin does. I also agree that he does not always try to find what you do best and establish it. All that said, without Kiffin, I don't think Little Nicky has his last two titles. Kiffin is doing some amazing things right now with a true freshman QB.

Sure he did, during the Pete Caroll era. He also was the OC during the Tennessee gig.

 

I thought Norm Chow was the OC and Lane was the quarterbacks coach. Also Lane was the head coach at Tennessee.

 

I believe Chow went to UCLA, I think, but the Kiff took over. At 10essee, he was both.
