Not excited? You must be delusional...4 road games like we had and we're in a damned BCS game? Practically at home? Sure, the Rose would have been great, but this ain't a bad gig either.
Do you mean if we had lost to USC in the Rose Bowl this year it would have invalidated our '03 championship? I don't think so. The validity of our championship does not rely on USC.
If USC beats Michigan and Ohio St beats Florida we will end up #2 with a win over Notre Dame. How anyone could not be excited about that is beyond me. Last year we were in the PEACH bowl. We have played in 3 Sugar Bowls since 2001, that speaks well of our program.
I don't agree with the point about valitdating the 03 championship however I am totally disappointed because we had a chance to play UM or USC and kick some Booty since he is from Louisiana. Not to mention a great shot at USC! Once again the system has let us down and LSU gets little respect! U say why? because we are playing a #11 team in the country. LSU got little respect last year, just a reminder!
Tigers have already crushed ND in Shrev. Ind. bowl. ND lost no glory for it. tigers gained no fame from it. all you guys need to stop being like the media, and get off ND jock! they are hasbeens they will never be the Nd of 50 years ago. also it will be hard for tigers to be fired up for this game considering they thought they may get to the rose bowl. I hope this isnt the case. If Tigers had gotten the rose bowl all you people would still be saying how overrated ND is! now that tigers HAVE to play em ND is the greatest team since the chicago bears in the 80's
sorry your point is not valid! one of the teams in the rose bowl has 2 losses and they are much much worse the the 2 LSU has. do you have another point Mr. clear brain?
They have a conference tie-in. How do you not understand that? So our tie-in is the Sugar. This is not complicated.
I understand conf. tie ins. my point is that LSU in not the only 2 loss team in a BCS bowl. and the Rose bowl could have easily picked LSU over Mich. plus I feel Tigers are being given a handout because of Fla. going to the NC is the only reason Tigers are going to the Sugar. kinda like (limping In.)
